The Atlanta Falcons will face the Indianapolis Colts in their fourth international game on November 9th. The previous three international games were played in London. However, the team will be heading to Berlin, Germany for the first time. This matchup was announced back in May, and since then, Falcons fans have been booking their flights and hotels with fervor. Hallo Deutschland!
NFL fans enjoy supporting their favorite NFL team in their home stadium. However, there are fans that also enjoy repping their team on the road. Then there are those fans that take their fandom even further by attending international games. For those who love pro football and are looking for ways to satisfy their wanderlust, the International Games are the perfect way to combine these two interests.
Atlanta Falcons Germany Fan Club

For years, German Falcons fans have made their way to Atlanta to watch the team play in person. Alesantoz Swoch is from Berlin, and he makes an annual trip with a group of other Falcons fans that are part of the Atlanta Falcons Germany. They not only take in a Falcons home game, but they also include a Falcons away game while they’re here in the United States. They rep the team with passion and enthusiasm that makes it hard to believe they weren’t born and bred in the ATL.
Alesantoz, specifically, has worked tirelessly for nearly a decade to bring Atlanta Falcons fans in Germany together. His efforts did not go unnoticed by the organization, and he was named the first Falcons International Fan of the Year in 2023. He was the beneficiary of an all expenses paid trip to Detroit for the 2024 NFL Draft. He had the unique experience of announcing the team’s 4th round Draft pick, Brandon Dorlus.
Bijan Robinson spent part of his offseason in Germany. He met with a lot of the Atlanta Falcons Germany Fan Club members, and they were hyped to have him. They appreciated one of the team’s premier plays visiting them in their home country.
ATL to Deutschland
With the Falcons versus Colts game just a few short months away, fans on both continents are preparing themselves for what is sure to be an epic weekend. For many U.S. based Falcons fans, this will be their first time visiting Germany. For the German fans, they are excited to play host and have the team play in their famed Olympic Stadium. With a six-hour time difference, they will be treated to watching the game at a time that does not require them to have to watch in the late evening or early morning.
As they have done for the previous NFL International Games, the Falcons will host a party on Saturday prior to the game. Fritz Falcon (the German version of the team’s mascot, Freddie Falcon), some Falcons cheerleaders, and former Falcons players will all be in attendance to help bring the ATL vibe to Berlin.
