San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy and his wife Jenna just shared the sweetest news: the arrival of their first child, a beautiful baby girl named Millie Joleen Purdy.
The couple announced her birth on Instagram with a heartfelt photo captioned:

Brock briefly stepped away from 49ers training camp last Friday for what was listed as a “personal day.” Turns out, it was for the most beautiful reason of all….meeting his baby girl. He was back on the field by Sunday, glowing just a little more than usual.
Teammates joked about the “dad strength” that kicks in overnight, with FB Kyle Juszczyk teasing that Brock officially earned the right to start telling terrible dad jokes. And let’s be honest… we’re ready for them.

With a name like Millie Joleen, and the couple recently setting down roots in Nashville, it’s hard not to think of Dolly Parton’s iconic song and just maybe even Miley Cyrus’s unforgettable cover that took it to viral heights.
Miley’s soulful spin on “Jolene” brought the heartbreak anthem to a whole new generation, and she’s famously close to Dolly (her godmother, by the way). So, if you grew up loving both women, it’s totally possible the name Joleen feels both strong and sentimental…the perfect mix of country roots and girl-power energy.
Of course, it could just be a name they loved the sound of… but we wouldn’t be surprised if someone in the Purdy household had that song playing on repeat at some point.
